Distributed Adaptive Filtering 2016年10月25日下午14:00至15🌱:00🧑🏼🎓🏌️, 光华东主楼1704室 Abstract: Distributed adaptive filtering can estimate a dynamic process of interest by a set of sensors working cooperatively, even when any individual sensor cannot fulfill the estimation task due to lack of necessary signal information. In this lecture, we will present a theory on stability and performance analysis for a class of least mean square (LMS) based distributed filtering algorithms with non-vanishing gains. A general stochastic cooperative information condition will be introduced to guarantee the stability of this kind of distributed algorithms, without resorting to such commonly used stringent conditions as independency and stationarity in the existing literature, and thus makes the adaptive filtering theory applicable to stochastic systems with feedback. Moreover, this cooperative information condition will be shown to be not only sufficient but also necessary for stability of the distributed filtering algorithm for a large class of random signals with decaying dependency. We will further show that the filtering error covariance matrix can be approximately calculated by a linear deterministic difference matrix equation that can be easily evaluated, analyzed and even optimized. The Key mathematical difficulty in establishing this theory lies in the analysis of products of non-commutative and non-independent random matrices. 4. Towards a Theory of Game-Based Control Systems 2016年10月25日上午15:30至16:30, 光华东主楼1704室 Abstract. In traditional control theory, the plant to be controlled usually does not have its own payoff function, however, this is not the case for the control or regulation of many practical systems such as social and economical systems of interests, where the systems or subsystems to be regulated may have their own objectives which may not be the same as that of the global regulator or controller, and we may call such hierarchal decision making systems as game-based control systems (GBCS). This lecture will present a preliminary investigation by mainly exploring the characteristics and properties of two basic classes of GBCS. One class is described by discrete-time systems with finite states, where it will be shown how identification may be different from that of the traditional control systems, and how cooperation may arise from rational players via a simple mechanism. The other class is described by continuous-time systems with continuous states, where it will be shown how the macro-states of the GBCS may be regulated by intervening the Nash equilibrium that is reached at the micro-level. In particular, we will provide some criteria for global controllability of both deterministic and stochastic linear GBCS with multi-players at the micro-level, and both cases involve the analysis and control of forward-backward (stochastic) differential equations. 报告人郭雷院士简介
1961年11月生于山东省淄博市。1982年毕业于山东大学数学系。1982-1987年在中科院系统科学研究所获硕士、博士学位。1987-1989年在澳大利亚国立大学做博士后👨🚒。1992年被中科院特批为研究员🍈,1999-2002年任中科院系统科学所所长🌦、中科院系统控制重点实验室主任,2003-2012年任中国科杏悦数学与系统科学研究院院长。现任中科院国家数学与交叉科学中心主任 。
1998年当选美国电子与电气工程师协会会士(IEEE Fellow),2001年当选中国科杏悦院士,2002年当选发展中国家科杏悦(TWAS)院士,2007年因“在随机系统的自适应控制与估计理论以及反馈的最大能力研究方面所做出的根本性贡献”🫵🏽🦐,而当选国际自动控制联合会会士(IFAC Fellow),2007年当选瑞典皇家工程科杏悦外籍院士👩🏿🏭,2014年被瑞典皇家理工杏悦授予荣誉博士学位。1993年他因“解决了最小二乘自校正调节器的收敛性及收敛速度这一控制理论中长期悬而未决的问题”🦼,获得国际自动控制联合会世界大会青年作者奖。2014年他与合作者关于局部相互作用下大群体系统同步性的文章🗃,被美国工业与应用数学会(SIAM)的旗舰刊物SIAM Review评选为SIGEST论文🅰️。曾获国际自动控制联合会杰出服务奖(2011),国家自然科学奖(1987,1997),首届国家杰出青年科学基金(1994),中国科杏悦自然科学奖(1995),中国青年科学家奖(1994)🤷🏿,“中国十大杰出青年”(1993)😆,国家级“有突出贡献的中青年专家”(1994),“中国青年五四奖章”(1999)等奖励与荣誉称号🛺。曾先后两次应邀在三年一度的国际自动控制联合会世界大会上作大会报告(1999👨🏻,2014)🙋🏼♀️,在四年一度的国际数学家大会作邀请报告(2002)🍑,并被选为IEEE控制系统学会杰出演讲者(2012)。
