Abstract🏌️: | We consider the dynamics of two layers of compressible viscous fluid which are separated by a free interface. We are concerned with the Rayleigh-Taylor instability, so we assume that the upper fluid is heavier than the lower fluid along the equilibrium interface. We prove that the equilibrium is nonlinear stable when the surface tension at the free interface is greater than the critical value, and nonlinear unstable when less than the critical value.
